TECHNICAL
SERVICES
Technical clients receive a broader scope of services relevant
to their business to improve international sales, globalize
and localize their product for international markets, enhance
project management and increase RFP success. Technical services
are divided into four main categories:

Although
these specialties may seem widely divergent, they are, in
fact, extremely compatible, thereby providing total translation
solutions for an international or ethnic target effort.
The ability to offer technical translations, plus high quality
marketing translation, voices and recording, provides an
ideal solution to meet the special needs of Microsoft, Siemens,
The Home Depot, UPS, Abbott Labs, Merck, Intel and other
Fortune 500, plus hundreds of smaller, lesser-known brands
with the drive to attract new business or to communicate
with international employees.
TECHNICAL
MULTIMEDIA
For CD Roms, DVDs, web sites, training and marketing materials,
technical clients have seen a rise in international sales
as much as 30% and higher viewer retention due to higher
quality of translation. Whether sales demos for Microsoft,
store check-out software localization for NCR, brochures
for BellSouth, IVR apps for Motorola, medical presentations
for Abbott Laboratories or training videos for Home Depot
employees, each technical client has needs that include
an attractive and professional writing style, combined with
specific technical terminology and knowledge of a vast array
of technical procedures and products.
VOICES
IN TECHNOLOGY
For some technology companies, voices are part of the product
itself, such as IVR and telephony, "talking machines" such
as luxury cars and scanners, ATMs, text- to-speech applications,
kiosks and other products. The combined language solution
(voice plus written documentation, marketing and multimedia)
satisfies the broader scope of needs.
DOCUMENTS
Some clients require only document translation from English
into foreign language, or foreign language into English.
There are two levels of pricing, allowing for significant
savings. Translations range from 2 pages to 2,000 pages
or even more related to construction, mechanical engineering,
telecommunications, legal, environmental clean-up, electronic
communication, hardware, software and a wide variety of
technical and technology subjects.
TRANSLATOR
QUALIFICATIONS
Translators have the highest qualifications: P.E.s (professional
engineers) who are also accredited translators, Certified
Public Translators, technical translators accredited by
the U.S. State Department or American Translators Association,
specialists with advanced degrees in translation from overseas
universities, PhDs, and other stringent criteria. Translation
services also offer reviews by profession-specific engineers,
doctors, economists, attorneys, and other experts located
directly in the target country. For media and marketing
translations, the services of in-country marketing writers,
video script adaptors, subtitlers, localization specialists
and professional voice talent in 41 countries are part of
the services rendered.
